A MAN has appeared before a judge accused of taking, making, distributing and possessing indecent images of children.
Mark Stephen Steel, 57, of Edleston Street, Accrington, is also accused of possessing extreme pornographic images.
In total Steel is accused of three counts of making indecent images of children, one count of making an indecent photograph of a child, two counts of possessing indecent images of children, six counts of distributing indecent images of children and one count of possessing extreme pornographic images.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between January 2012 and March 2016.
Steel denied all 13 charges against him.
He was given conditional bail not to contact any child under the age of 16 and ordered to return to Burnley Crown Court to stand trial on October 2.
