WORK has started on the Lancashire Police memorial garden.
The project at its headquarters in Saunders Lane, Hutton, will be a lasting memorial to officers have have died in the line of duty.
The garden will feature a memorial wall, where individual plaques will be placed for each officer, and a fountain.
Rachel Baines, chairman of Lancashire Police Federation, said: “The federation felt strongly that there must be a place where fallen officers, our colleagues, will be remembered.
“The garden and memorial we hope will be a fitting tribute to those that have given their lives
“It has been an honour to spend time with families who have lost loved ones."
