A CAR was found overturned in Oswaldtwistle in the early hours of this morning.

A short section of Union Road, near the junction with Stonebridge Lane, was closed for 30 minutes while the vehicle was taken away.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Union Road in Oswaldtwistle at 5.20am this morning.

“They discovered a Grey Citroen C3 vehicle on its roof.

“There were no serious injuries and the driver was treated in an ambulance the scene.

“A short-section of the road near Stonebridge Lane was closed until 6.40am while the vehicle was righted and taken away.”
