A TEENAGER with a life-threatening illness had three wishes granted in one day.

The dreams of Christian Wignall, 14, of Bethesda Close, Galligreave, Blackburn, came true yesterday thanks to the charity, Make A Wish Foundation.

Christian fulfilled his wish of being James Bond, owning a PlayStation 3 and going snowboarding.

But his day of dreams almost did not happen.

Christian and his family were told to be at the Comet store in Blackburn to receive his PS3.

But the white stretch limousine taking Christian, dressed in a James Bond-style suit, and his mum there, went to the wrong store at 10.45am yesterday.

When he arrived at the Whitebirk branch of Comet with his mum Talitha, 33, grandmother, Linda, 49, and brother Liam Dickinson, 12, the manager knew nothing about Christian's wish.

A quick phone call to the Bolton Road branch in the Nova Scotia Retail Park, Blackburn town centre, revealed that that was where they should have been.

He was given the PS3 when he arrived at there 20 minutes later.

Christian, who was diagnosed with several life-threatening illnesses when he was born, then spent the afternoon snowboarding in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

Christian, a pupil at Pontville School, Ormskirk, and former pupil of Witton Park High School, said: "I think this was a very good day and it has made my dreams come true.

"I couldn't be happier. First I thought it was a nightmare because I was nervous that it wasn't going to come true.

"I thought it was going to be a prank but I believe it now.

"I'm going to put the PS3 in my bedroom and my brother can only touch it if he wears gloves!"

Mum Talitha said she did not want to talk about Christian's exact problems but said he had complex needs and conditions.

She said: "Christian feels like superstar. He was waving to people on the way here."

Robin Moffat, store manager at Comet, said: "I hope Christian gets as much fun out of using the PS3 as we did giving it."
