OLDER people in Darwen are being offered tuition in getting web wise.

Age Concern has vacancies for the tuition service it offers to older people in Darwen who want to learn computer skills and how to use the Internet.

The charity has a team of experienced tutors available on a one-to-one basis who can provide six free sessions on a range of topics.

Alison Hamer, of Age Concern, said: "People want to learn how to use a computer or increase the knowledge and skills they have for a wide range of reasons.

"Some want a basic knowledge to assist them with other studies they are doing; some want to learn a specific skill and some simply want to know what it's all about.

"We have people aged from 55 to 85 who are learning computer skills." For an appointment or more information, telephone Alison on 01254 266620.
