WALKERS from Accrington walked 26 miles and drove 500 in under 24 hours in the name of charity.
A team of eight walkers walked the three peaks of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell in the Lake District, and Snowdon in Wales all in one day.
The walkers set off from the Boar's Head pub on Burnley Road in Accrington on Saturday.
The walk will raise £5,000 for breast cancer charity The Genesis Appeal and the Rosemere Cancer Unit at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Walk team leader, John Duckworth, 48, a waste services manager for Hyndburn Council from Fir Court in Accrington, said: "My brother died from cancer and so did my mum.
"My partner got breast cancer and now she has recovered so when we decided to do this challenge it seemed right that we would donate the money to cancer charities."
John has also organised a charity football match on Peel Park playing field next week. To make a donation call John Duckworth on 07936032910.
