SPECTACULAR hovercraft racing attracted hundreds of people to Oswaldtwistle.
Magnoll Farm, Haslingden Old Road, hosted the third round of the UK Hovercraft Championships on Saturday and Sunday, with more than 50 craft taking part.
Organisers said about 200 people turned out for each day, and the event saw five races held in total.
The hovercraft can reach top speeds of 80mph, and have no brakes, and were racing round a custom-made course which featured land and water.
Organiser and farm owner Charlie Peach said: "Hopefully it will come back next year.
"Decisions will be made in the winter at meetings of the sport's council.
"But if everything goes well there is every chance of it."
