A MAN has died after crashing his car into a wall.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a blue Renault Clio hit the wall, close to Lobden Golf Club, at around 4am yesterday morning.
The 38-year-old driver from Whitworth suffered fatal injuries.

He was initially taken to Royal Oldham Hospital by ambulance but was later pronounced dead.
The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Whitworth, suffered suspected pelvic and rib injuries. She is in a stable condition at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Sgt Tracey Ward from the Road Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a man has sadly lost his life and a woman has been left with some serious injuries. Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this incredibly sad and difficult time.
