THERE'S only one thing Burnley fans are talking about in the office today - that controversial Laurent Koscielny goal...

Handball? Offside? Desperate pleas from the Burnley players were ignored by referee Craig Pawson as the French defender bundled home from a Theo Walcott header in injury time.

It was the perfect way for Arsene Wenger to celebrate 20 years at the London-based club but for Clarets boss Sean Dyche it was an evening of frustration.

"It's twice so far this season, this is slightly different, it's more frustrating - our analyst has it as six seconds over time, which doesn't sound a lot, but it's a lot in this world, because he could blow it, they take it short, you could blow it, he decided not to," said Dyche.

"The ball comes in, we didn't deal with it as well as we should have done - I make that clear - and it's a hand ball goal.

"There's a number of things, you can only think the referee is honest enough and will have a tough night driving home, thinking about things, but he was good in general.

"I don't want to harp on about it, but I think it was a tough one.

The Burnley boss was clearly unhappy with the decision but former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher disagreed.

He told Sky Sports News: "First thing to say is he's not offside from the cross and flick-on. I think it's Walcott with the flick-on, so it's not offside. Handball has to be deliberate, but I don't think it's handball.

"It struck him and we are stuck with the rule where it has to be deliberate. People said his arms were up but that's because he used his arms for elevation.

"He has actually mis-kicked it, it has flown up and hit him, so it's not hand to ball, it's ball to hand. There is nothing wrong in the law with what happened."
