A 23-YEAR-OLD who had gone to sleep after a drunken row with his girlfriend at her Ribchester home became abusive when he was 'rudely' awoken by uniformed police officers.
Blackburn magistrates heard Robert Brash struggled with officers before he was eventually arrested and handcuffed.

Brash, of Garside Hey Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty. He was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
Richard Prew, defending, said a neighbour had called the police and when they got there they found Brash asleep in bed.
"He wasn't causing anyone any problems but when he was rudely awoken he was disorientated and accepts he struggled with the police," said Mr Prew. "Had he gone quietly he wouldn't have been here today."
