ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has made a double loan swoop to join the ‘Redvolution’.

Attacking players Andy Little, from Preston North End, and Reading’s Tariqe Fosu have both signed at the Wham Stadium until the end of the season to boost the Reds’ promotion push ahead of yesterday’s 5pm deadline.

And both will be in contention for a debut against Leyton Orient this afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

“Andy is someone I’ve monitored for a long time,” said Coleman of the 26-year-old striker, who began his career at Rangers.

“When he was breaking through at Rangers I tried to sign him and then he had a purple patch and scored a lot of goals for Rangers, which put him out of my ballpark to be honest.

“He’s suffered with injuries this year so it’s a chance for him to play some football and get himself back on track.

“It is a chance, when you’ve not played for a while you are keen. And the type of player that he is I think the exposure to football will help.

“He’s a good lad, and a few of the lads know him already. I think Billy Kee was in a Northern Ireland squad with him.”

Fosu recently signed a new contract at Reading after impressing during a loan spell with Fleetwood Town, and of the winger Coleman added: “He gives us something different, something that we haven’t got really and I’m looking forward to seeing him on the pitch.

“He’s very direct, very quick, and he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve.

“I think the fans will be quite pleased when they see him.

“He did well at Fleetwood and he’s signed a new contract at Reading so they must have high thoughts of him.”

And Coleman feels the pair will be timely additions to his squad, with both available for tomorrow’s visit of Leyton Orient.

“We’ve only got two loan players and one of them is injured. We’re probably in a more healthy loan position than most teams in the league and because of that we can add to it and bring reinforcements in should eventualities go out of our reach when there’d be nothing we could do about it after (last night’s deadline),” said the Stanley boss.

“Plus the fact I just think we needed a little bit of livening up so we’re bringing in two attacking players.

“We’re going to have Terry Gornell and Josh back so it will be like an influx of four attacking players, which gives us plenty to play with between now and the end of the season with nine games to go."

“And they are two good players in their own right who are coming in, so I’m quite pleased we’re able to do it.”
