BURNLEY’S Sam Vokes and the rest of Wales’ France-bound squad are looking to strike a chord in Euro 2016, with help from the Manic Street Preachers.

The Welsh three-piece rock band have penned a song entitled ‘Together Stronger (C’mon Wales)’, with all profits going to the Prince’s Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Centre.

Vokes and his team-mates have all added their vocal input to the song, which will be released closer to this summer’s tournament, on May 20.

Wales manager Chris Coleman told the official Football Association of Wales website: “It was fantastic to be involved with such an iconic Welsh band.

“The Manic Street Preachers have been passionate Welsh football supporters and all the lads enjoyed the experience and joined in.”

The song’s release coincides with the Manic Street Preacher’s 20th Anniversary re-issue of their hugely successful fourth album ‘Everything Must Go’.

Vokes has teamed up with Wales for friendlies against Northern Ireland in Cardiff and the Ukraine in Kiev as they build-up to Euro 2016, their first appearance at a major tournament for 58 years.
