A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after a moped collided with a car in Brierfield.
Police, paramedics and the North West Air Ambulance were called to the incident, involving a moped and a black Toyota IQ2, at the junction of Reedley Road and Burnley Road.

The 32-year-old male moped rider was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with a suspected right ankle fracture.
The 80-year-old female driver is not thought to have been seriously injured in the incident which happened at 4.30pm yesterday.
A road closure was in place for over an hour whilst the man was treated, the vehicles were recovered and investigation work was carried out.
Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
