THIEVES smashed their way in to a farm supplies shop in the Ribble Valley and stole thousands of pounds of drugs.


The incident happened at a farm supplies shop based in Gisburn Auction Mart, Gisburn, between 12am and 7.22am yesterday.

Items stolen include five litres of Sumex, Optimax Drench, 500ml of Dectomax, 2.5 litres of Closamectin and a number of Iodine tubes.

Police said thieves entered the forecourt of the auction mart in a vehicle and smashed a door before escaping with the drugs.

Police are studying CCTV in the area but no arrests have been made so far .
