But she has now signed a deal with the Sheffield-based company who will launch their squad at Hope Technology in February next year.

Rimmington, who is currently recovering from a broken toe, raced for IKON Mazda and Racing Chance last season as she sought the consistency that she hopes the move to WNT will bring her.

“I was a little bit disheartened by everything that has happened this year,” said Rimmington.

“It was a tough season but I am looking forward to getting started now.

“The DS at WNT contacted me and I had a chat with him and it went from there really.

“I am really looking forward to racing with them next year.

“I was obviously over the moon to get it sorted.

“It should be a really strong team and I can’t wait to get started.”

And the Padiham star is keen to race once more on the continent in 2016, pitting her wits against Europe’s best.

“That was part of the attraction for me to race on the continent and there should be an opportunity to do that,” said Rimmington, who forms part of a strong squad targeting success in the UK and abroad.

The East Lancashire star will be joined in the Team WNT ranks by Irish star Lydia Boylan as well as Hannah Walker and Jo Tindley in a squad that will aim to compete in the national series in this country.

And Rimmington believes the team has the perfect blend for success.

“The squad is a really strong one,” she said.

“We have got a good mix of riders with some good sprinters and some riders for different races so I am really looking forward to it.

“I’m going to be looking to ride well and hopefully take advantage of any opportunities.

“I am looking forward to racing in Europe, it is very different racing and we all just can’t wait to get started.”

Rimmington will begin her season in March but her first priority is recovering from a broken big toe on her right foot after she slipped down the stairs at home.

“The first thing is to get back to full fitness,” she added. “Then we should start racing in March. At the moment the calendar is a good mix of national road races and some European races.

“I can’t wait for the new season now.”
