DETECTIVES are investigating a late night street robbery in Windermere which left a man injured.
Cumbria Police said the 39-year-old man had just withdrawn cash from HSBC from Crescent Road when he was attacked.
As the victim walked onto Beech Street he was struck to the back of the head, causing him to fall to the floor.
The man's wallet and money was stolen by a suspect described as white, around 25 years old, 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and wearing dark coloured clothes.
DS Mike Wallace of SOuth Cumbria CID confirmed the victim sustained injuries and was left 'badly shaken' from the incident which happened at midnight yesterday (September 12).
