VICTORIA Park in Stretford is preparing itself for the annual Viking Invasion, which will be taking place on September 13 at 1pm
The Viking Festival has become a popular annual event in the Park’s calendar, and the aim is for this year to be bigger and better than ever.
Special guests from the Viking Society and the Jorvik Viking Centre in York will be contributing to an action-packed day of Viking combat re-enactments, story-telling and archery.
There will also be arts and crafts activities and refreshment provided throughout the day.
As with all of the Park’s events, admission is free, all ages are catered for and everyone is welcome to come along.
The Viking raiding and pillaging is due to start at 1pm and the boats will set sail back to Scandinavia at 4pm.
