WHEN they call ‘lights, camera, action’ on ITV’s latest reality series, an East Lancashire businessman can sit back with justified pride.

Because the illumination for the new Life On Marbs series has arrived on the Costa del Sol fresh from sunny Burnley.

Paul Howland, the boss of Carbon Footprint Experts, was on holiday in Marbella when he came across filming for the The Only Way Is Essex spin-off.

And after talking to the production crew, and drawing up designs back at his Liverpool Road headquarters, the lighting at Jessie’s Bar, one of the main backdrops for the programme, was installed.

“The bar didn’t need harsh lighting.

“It had to be softer, so we recommended LEDs and drew up a whole design for them,” said Paul, a former student at Wilfrid’s in Blackburn and a member of Burnley Bondholders.

He has also been involved with the communications firm C2-UK.

“Quite of bit of the action for Life On Marbs takes place in Jessie’s Bar so they wanted to get the right setting.

“We’ve been able to come up with just what they were looking for,” added Paul.

Earlier this year former Burnley striker Danny Ings officially opened the Burnley firm’s new offices at Empire Way and the company has received nominations in the Red Rose and Burnley Business awards this year.

TV bosses have drawn together a 21-strong cast for Life On Marbs, including millionaire businessmen to top club promoters and former models, the playboys and playgirls of La Cala de Mijas and surrounding areas.

Those who are featured include kiss-and-tell queen Natalie Richardson, who has enjoyed liaisons with Leonardo di Caprio and Calum Best, budding singer and friend-to-the-stars Suzy White, party mogul Bally Singh and PR whizz Josh Ortega.

Jessie’s Bar only opened last month and management there are close pals with TOWIE star Elliott Wright, who runs his own restaurant, Olivia’s, nearby.

Currently the series is halfway through a 12-episode run on the digital channel ITVBe.
