MILL Hill Diversity are looking to build another trophy winning squad.

The Blackburn club, who have enjoyed plenty of success since joining the Lancashire Football Association Ability Counts League, is looking for new players in its quest to win more silverware.

Mill Hill Diversity, who have two teams, are also looking for new coaches to join its set-up before the league gets under way next month.

A number of players have left in the close season as have few of the backroom staff so head coach John Walsh is looking to get both teams and coaching set-up up to full strength before the league begins.

"We have lost a few players so it would be great to get a few new players to come and join us.

"The same goes with our coaches. A few have decided to take up other offers so it would be great to gets some fresh faces in and work with a talented squad of players who have enjoyed their fair share of success in recent seasons."

Mill Hill Diversity have been both league champions and cup winners in the LFA Ability Counts League and finished runners-up last season.

They have recently returned from Belfast where they took part in the George Best Memorial Competition where the First team finished as runners-up - and got some coaching tips from some Premier League stars.

"Teddy Sheringham and Tom Huddlestone were over there doing their coaching badges and they took time out to have a kick about with the lads and come and watch a few games," added Walsh. "It was great of them to do that and all the players appreciated it."

A total of 60 teams took part in the competition - including two from Mill Hill. The first team on all of their group games and progressed through the knockout stages only to lose 3-1 in the final.

The club train on Monday nights at St Wilfrid's (6-7pm) with all matches taking place in Preston.
