A SURVEY has been launched for people to give their views on Cumbria Police.

According to police, the survey aims to find out how safe people feel, what the public feel the main policing issues are and how confident residents are in their police force's abilities.

The police also want to find out how satisfied people are with the service they received if they reported a crime in the last 12 months.

The survey closes on 31st August 2015 and the results will be made available in October 2015 on the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner website.

Chief Constable Jerry Graham said: “I would urge local people to fill in this survey – it is very important to us to understand what communities in Cumbria want from their local force.

"Your response will inform future policing priorities and help us to improve, and help us to continue to provide the best policing service we can afford.”

Police and Crime Commissioner Richard Rhodes said: “As Police and Crime Commissioner I represent the public and enable them to have a voice in policing.
