TEENAGERS Liam Sutton and Chloe Forrest may still only be in college but they have already proved they have designs on success after being commissioned to lead a social media campaign for a business.

When custom car firm Dynamic Customs needed help with digital marketing the directors could not think of anyone better than young people for whom social media is part of life.

So they approached Bolton College in a bid to find two talented students.

Azz Mahmood, who runs the business with Nas Khan and Sal Choudri, said: "Young people are growing up with social media.

"Working with the college is a way of giving something back to the community, and giving students experience on a real life project.

"Chloe and Liam have been great. They have created a video to put on social media sites to promote our move to a new site.

"Social media reaches so many people around the world and my customers are from all over."

Later this year Dynamic Customs UK — part of the Super Car Clinic — is moving from its base in Waterloo Street in Bolton to a bigger site in Halliwell Road.

Mr Mahmood added: "I have learned a lot from them and will showing off my social media skills to my nephews and nieces who know more about it than me."

The two 17-year-olds, who are both studying Interactive Media BTec level three, are now busy editing their video before sharing it across platforms.

Chloe, who lives in Radcliffe, said: "Taking part in a real life project was an eye-opener, because it is not what you expect, it is very different in the real world.

"Azz and the team were really helpful."

She added: "Social media is incredibly important, and we explained how invaluable it is to understand it and utilise it to promote business, everybody has a social media account."

Liam added: "It has been fun taking part in the project, we have felt the pressure because it is a real project.

"Social media is an important platform for businesses to utilise because it is a part of life for everyone.

"I have found myself using the skills I have developed at college, and a good experience and very different to what I have been used to."

Andrew Hughes, the college's enterprise and employability co-ordinator, said: "Bolton College feels very privileged to work with a company like Dynamic Customs.

"It is not very often an opportunity like this comes along and anything the college and our students can do to help the business can only be a benefit to everyone involved."
