PALS Humayra Patel, Jamila Ahmed and Fatima Taniya will be studying at Manchester University together after achieving top grades in their A-levels at Bolton Sixth Form College.
Humayra, the college's highest performing student, achieved two A*, A and B, will be studying maths alongside Jamila, while Fatima will be studying audiology.
The 18-year-old grade A students said they were delighted to be going to the same university after becoming firm friends at college.
Humayra said: "I was so nervous the night before, I think I only got three hours sleep. This is such a great college and it is great to get into university.
"I worked hard to get the grades."
Faitma said: "The months in the lead up to the exams was stressful but we all supported each other and we will be celebrating together."
The results posted by Bolton Sixth Form are above the national benchmark for sixth form colleges.
Principal of Bolton Sixth Form, Steve Wetton, said: "We aim to continue to inspire our students to reach their potential and achieve the very best results.
"Our exam results show a high level of consistency whether students have studied the social sciences, humanities, sport, creative arts or science subjects. We are proud that these successes rank the college alongside the outstanding schools and colleges in the country and endorse us as the exceptional provider of sixth form education for the young people of Bolton.”
