NOSTAGIC fans were transported back to the 80s and 90s as stars from the eras heyday performed at Lytham Festival.

The second night of the week long extravaganza attracted music fans from far and wide, with many dressed as their favourite icons.

With the likes of Chesney Hawks, East 17, Vengaboys, Sinatta, Jimmy Somerville, 5ive and Billy Ocean on the bill fans were far from disappointed.

Lytham Proms was rebranded this year, to establish a week-long festival from Sunday, August 2 showcasing music, literary and comedy programming at a host of new locations, as well as the former Proms home on the Green.

Some of the eras biggest hits including ‘Love train’, ‘Everybody get up’ were enjoyed almost as much as they were the first time around.

The festival atmosphere, the dry weather and great line up is making Lytham Festival an annual must attend event for people across the north west, with families friends and couples all welcome.

And the Adam and Eve after party at the Lowther Pavillion also went down a storm with music fans able to continue the party to 2am.

If the sounds of the 80s and 90s is not your thing there is bound to be something in the rest of the festival line up.

Last Saturday night McBusted hit the stage followed by ‘Songs from Stage and Screen’ on Sunday night with guests including Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow and singer/actress Elaine Paige OBE, who will bring favourites from the West End and Broadway to life, backed by the superb Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
