ADAM Le Fondre and Sheyi Ojo are poised for their Wolves debuts today against Blackburn Rovers.

Striker Le Fondre, who was linked with Rovers, and winger Ojo have joined on loan from Cardiff City and Liverpool respectively, while Conor Coady, a signing from Huddersfield Town, could also make his bow at Ewood Park.

Defender Danny Batth will train next week as he closes in on a return following a stress fracture to his foot, which ruled him out of the end of last season.

George Saville and new boy Jed Wallace are also going to train next week as they continue their recovery.

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett feels his players will face a tough test against Rovers this afternoon.

“Blackburn finished a place below us last year and we know going to Ewood Park is a big test and a good game,” he said.

“Whoever you play in the Championship is going to be a hard game, we don’t focus on the opposition too much.

“It’s about us playing well, doing our best and making sure we start the season as we hope to continue it with quality and also enthusiasm.”

Jackett highlighted the importance of a strong start.

“We hope we’re going to start as we left off last season – we won our last game, so we want to be starting like that,” he said.

“The start and the end do produce different ways, different types of football.

“Quite often the start of the year is very cagey, very competitive, everybody’s fit, everybody’s fresh.

“It’s a tough period but the first 10 games can help confidence.”
