HUNDREDS turned out to taste the wares of producers from across one of the region's areas of outstanding natural beauty.

More than 750 people made the trip to Arnside and Silverdale Local Food Festival which celebrated all things local at the latter's Gaskell Hall.

"We had a superb day," said organiser Martin Humphrey. "Over 750 people supported the festival and enjoyed the outstanding food and drink made by local people from within the AONB."

On the menu was goodies from jams, pies and honey to chutneys, ice creams and dog treats.

The event was part of the AONB's Taste of the Landscape which runs until Sunday (July 26).
