LANCASTER University has been ranked 15th out of 113 institutions in The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.

The survey takes into consideration 21 separate measures based on answers from a total of 14,700 students in the UK.

Lancaster came second for good accommodation and security on campus and sixth for sporting facilities, which comes after the university spent £20million on a new sports centre.

It also came in the top five for how students have their personal requirements dealt with.

Professor Amanda Chetwynd , Provost for Student Experience, Colleges and the Library, said: “These results provide valuable information for prospective students, and help us to improve further what we offer here at Lancaster.”
