EAST Lancashire has been told to brace itself for strong winds today.
National forecaster, The Met Office, has issued a severe weather warning and said winds blasting at up to 60mph - and 65mph in coastal areas - are expected to batter the county.
A spokesman said: "The public should be aware that this could lead to some disruption to travel and difficult driving conditions.
"Winds should ease from the west later this afternoon."
