MORE than 1,000 people have signed a petition objecting to double yellow lines being painted in Falcon Avenue.
Fifteen Darwen businesses on Blackburn Road, near Hollins Grove Street, started a campaign two weeks ago because new parking limits were hitting trade.
Sue Scott, of Design, said around 80 people had signed a petition in the hair salon and reported similar success at The Late Shop and Hollins Grove Doctor's Surgery.
Customers are being asked to sign petitions and write protest letters to the council.
The businesses will put their case forward at a meeting with transport bosses this month.
