AN 84-year-old woman was injured after being hit by a car in Accrington yesterday.
Police say the pensioner, whose name has not been released, was hit by a Ford Focus travelling at a "slow speed" from Burnley Road to Sidney Street, at about 11.15am.
The woman was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a head injury and her condition is not thought to be life threatening.
The road was closed for about an hour while investigations took place.
