PEOPLE affected by cancer have spoken of their support for a nursing charity's fundraising campaign.
They have recorded their stories of how Macmillan Cancer Support helped themselves and their loved ones.
Macmillan nurses care for people throughout the UK in hospitals and people's homes.
Among those who have spoken about their experiences is Gini Allison.
Gini, 39, of St Leonards Street, Padiham is encouraging fellow employees at Graham & Brown Wallcoverings, Harwood Street, Blackburn to take part in the day of fundraising.
Her father, Tony Coward, died 10 days after being diagnosed with lung and liver cancer last June. He was 67.
During his time in hospital he was cared for by Macmillan nurses.
Mrs Allison said: "After the nurse had visited he was much more upbeat about things and said he would fight it.
"I could see the difference that had been made."
