School bus services are being considered for withdrawal by County Councillor Tony Martin as they fail the County Council's 40 per cent revenue/cost criteria.
Service 893 to Hameldon Community College is recommended for withdrawal as students are of secondary school age and not attending their nearest school.
Withdrawal of the service will provide an annual net saving of £35,046.
Eleven students using this service are entitled to free home-school transport and alternative transport would be provided.
No estimated costings for the alternative transport has been provided.
Coun Martin, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, will make his decision tomorrow.
