AN ENVIRONMENTALLY-friendly Rossendale store is launching a copying and printing service using 100 per cent recycled paper.
Cartridge World's service begins this month and will be aimed at the public and small businesses.
Offering photocopies in mono and colour, the Bury Road store hopes it will encourage more people to think about the environment and the benefits of recycling.
Manager Darren Turner said: "I'm excited about the launch of the service as we will be play our part in helping reduce the amount of trees chopped down for paper production."
His team is already running a campaign alongside Groundwork Rossendale, Plant a Local Tree Not a Cartridge', which encourages printer users from schools, councils, businesses and homes to refill and reuse empty printer cartridges rather than throw them away.
So far the firm has planted 65 trees to represent each cartridge recycled.
Darren added: "Tree cover in East Lancs is at less than half the national average, and tree planting schemes and recycling schemes can help the local environment."
