THE Royal George in Rochdale Road, Todmorden, has undergone a renovation.
Landlord Michael Durkin, who also runs the nearby Golden Lion, has welcomed the new look for the 17th century building and is hoping that the spruce up can bring trade to the pub.
He and partner Alison Lockett held a reopening party that they said really drew the punters in and now Michael is hoping for more.
And the success of the opening day meant the landlord is now calling for customers with an interest in pub games to come forward so he can enter teams in the next pool and darts seasons.
He has also has promised visitors that they will be able to try guest beers along with traditional ales in the new-look pub.
