A man grappled with a burglar who broke into his house in Lansdowne Close, Burnley.
The offender ran off leaving his coat behind after he was confronted.
He was white, about 5ft 6ins, in his mid 20s, stocky, with short blond wavy hair.
Anyone with information about the incident, at about 8.40pm on Saturday, should contact police on 01282 425001.
