ONE of the most popular players to wear the Lancaster City shirt in recent years is boosting the Dolly Blues - although he probably doesn't realise it.
Flying striker Tony Sullivan retired from senior football at the end of last season when Gary Finley indicated he wouldn't have a place in the City side.
The Liverpudlian was a crowd hero at Giant Axe and now a signed Sullivan City shirt has been put up for sale on an Internet auction site.
The shirt, being sold by a Lancaster fan, has attracted dozens of bids and at the time of going to press was racing towards the £50 mark with the cash from the sale going straight to the football club.
