BOOTHS in Carnforth has officially opened its cafe following a £1.2 million store investment.
The 48-seater cafe, which opened on Monday, was the second stage in a series of improvements for the 24-year-old shop.
Stage one was car park redevelopment and extension in 2012 – and the new addition seems to have gone well with customers queuing up as soon as doors opened.
Store manager Stephen Allen said: “We have had some positive comments already. One person said they had been waiting for this for 20 years, and it was about time.”
The new cafe offers a range of hot and cold drinks, freshly prepared soups, salads, sandwiches, toasties as well as tray bakes and cakes.
