BOSSES have paid tribute to the ‘incredible’ work being carried out by 2,000 nurses in Lancashire.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, which runs community and mental health services, celebrated the work of its nursing staff at a special event to mark International Nurses Day.
Colin Dugdale, acting director of nursing, said: “This year’s theme was ‘pride in your profession’ which gave us opportunity to stand back and acknowledge the incredible work that nurses do to ensure that patients receive the best care possible.
“There are so many dedicated and committed nurses who work to deliver compassionate care and it was great to see so many attend the event.”
