Professor’s new University of Central Lancashire role

A NEW vice-chancellor has been appointed at the University of Central Lancashire.

Professor Gerry Kelleher, from Blackburn, will head up the university, which has a campus in Burnley, from the summer.

The father of two said: “I am delighted to be joining UCLan and have already experienced the passion and purpose of the university board and directorate.

“There is clearly a shared vision that will enable us to realise our ambitions locally, nationally and internationally.

“I look forward to meeting and working with students and staff at this pivotal time in UCLan’s development.

“Together, there is no limit to what we can achieve in the months and years ahead.”

Brian Harris, university board chairman, said: “All members of the university community look forward to welcoming him to the university.”
