OLYMPIC medal winner Samantha Murray will be hoping her latest television appearance will be Pointless!
The Ribble Valley athlete, who won silver in the modern pentathlon, appears on the BBC quiz show Pointless Celebrities on Saturday — where the aim of the game is to finish with the least points.
Murray, 23, from Clitheroe, teams up with double Olympic gold medal winning rower Peter Reed in a sports version of the show presented by Alexander Armstrong.
“It was great fun being on the show and I met some lovely people,” said the former Bowland High School pupil.
“I’ll be tuning in to watch, although it might be a little bit cringeworthy.”
It will be Murray’s second celebrity appearance on our screens. Back in October, she had just six weeks to master the piano and perform in a gala concert in aid of Children In Need which featured on BBC TV and radio.
And that followed her heroics in Greenwich Arena in August when millions tuned in to see Murray win Team GB’s last medal of London 2012.
