A THRILLER was played out between Bentham and Arnside in the third round of the Black Dragon Senior Challenge Cup third round.

But Arnside went straight back in front after Marco Thompson made it 2-1 at half time.

James Earnshaw escaped his marker to equalise for Bentham and Arnside defended well to stay in the game.

When Arnside broke out of defence they looked dangerous and James Kirkham broke away and lobbed the keeper from a narrow angle.

Despite Bentham throwing everything at Arnside the latter scored a decisive fourth when Kirkham scored from a corner.

Within 60 seconds Carnforth went into a 3-1 lead when Stone scored his second to put the game beyond Cartmel.
