A CHARITY which helps unemployed young people access education and jobs in East Lancashire has received a £5,000 cash boost.
The Prince’s Trust in the county have been handed the funds by The Freemasons’ Grand Charity.
A donation received by David Biggs, provincial communications officer for East Lancashire and chairman of the Burnley and Pendle District, during his visit to the trust’s facility in Burnley.
David has a close affinity with the Prince’s Trust, having previously worked as a volunteer business mentor for 10 years.
Julian Barrell, director of fundraising at The Prince’s Trust said: “More than a million young people are struggling to find work, which is a tragedy for the young people themselves and the economy.
“At The Prince’s Trust, we meet young people every day who believe they have no future. We think they are wrong. Thanks to this funding we will be able to transform more young lives.”
