A HUGE bundle of £5 notes will be given away in Lancaster city centre tomorrow (Friday) - and anyone can grab a piece of the action.
£500 in used notes will be handed out to passers-by in Market Square at noon to celebrate the launch of the new 'Showing Of' academy.
The academy, which will teach people across the North West how to make money, launches its first programme for business owners on Monday.
To celebrate the landmark event, owner Joanne Allday (pictured) is giving away £1000 in cash. The first £500 will be thrown into market square for passers-by and shoppers before Joanne makes her way to White Cross to offer business owners the chance to exchange a business card for a £5 note.
Each fiver will have a note attached which challenges the lucky winner to double their money - with the aim being to teach people how to look after the cash they have and build more of it for their future security.
These are the aims behind 'Showing Off', which has been created to teach people how to make money.
Joanne says: "With the Academy business programme, we've brought together 11 trainers from across the country, who are all business owners.
"We've also managed to attract some amazing guest speakers who will be sharing their tips for success. By helping business owners step up to the next level, we're confident we can positively impact their business as well as the local economy."
The first programme launches on Monday in the South Lakes and bookings are now being taken for a second programme, which will run in Carlisle. There are plans for another programme to be launched later in the year, depending on demand.
