SHRIMPS' midfielder Garry Hunter has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract.

The 23-year-old who has been with the club since a junior has made more than 100 starts in midfield after making his debut in August 2003 against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Talking about the deal Hunter says: "I was delighted to sign a new contract and am looking forward to another successful two years.

"I will be looking to start next season where I left off the last and look to establish myself as a regular in the side and perhaps score a few more goals as well.'' Hunter's new deal comes just a day after Michael Carr became Sammy McIlroy's first summer signing.
