They're all Grand lads...

LOCAL rockers are preparing to do their bit for the future of Lancaster's historic Grand Theatre.

They will take to the stage next week for a Grand Rock Out' fund raising gig in aid of the theatre's New Spaces appeal.

Idol Minds, Trash, The Wind Up Merchants and Kriss Foster will all showcase their talents at the St Leonardgate venue next Friday, April 4, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £3..

Idol Minds are local lads James Morrison, Bob Hartford, Sam Lord and Chris Rawlins, who are edging ever closer to nationwide fame with their fast paced power pop and soothing vocal harmonies.

Recent gigs have included top venues such as Manchester's Academy 3 and Liverpool's Cavern Club.

Trash, another of the local bands, are an energetic three-piece with a new exciting jazzy twist on indie rock who have played around the North West in support slots for top bands.

Kriss Foster is no newcomer to the local scene, where he has delighted audiences with his quick fire comedy and acoustic show since graduating' from the Lancaster Spotlight club.

Last, but not least, come The Wind Up Merchants, consisting of local Lancaster lads, Will Dobson, Bob Moston, Tom Evans and Mike Bagnall, who are again well known to locals as they regularly play The Lounge and Yorkshire House.
