A new Marvel show is coming to Netflix featuring Krysten Ritter of Breaking Bad and David Tennant.

The former Doctor Who actor says he was excited by Jessica Jones after learning it was a Marvel show, and even happier when he read the source material.

He also apologised to his co-star for licking her face…

Tennant plays Zebediah Kilgrave – aka The Purple Man – opposite Ritter, who fans of Breaking Bad will be excited to see on their screens again.

Ritter played Jane, Jesse Pinkman’s girlfriend, during season two and part of season three on the hit American drama, and Tennant couldn’t have spoken more highly about her portrayal of Jessica Jones.

“I think she’s got it all going on for that character. Her range and her dryness and her commitment to the role was perfect. She was great to play opposite and I think she’s going to really wow people when they see her in this.”

Jessica Jones is set in the same universe as Marvel’s Daredevil, another Netflix original, so Ritter and Tennant’s characters are running around the same Hell City streets as Matt Murdock.

The main character is a woman with superpowers who gave up using them to become a private investigator, and the show already has great reviews. Tennant’s character controls minds and, as you can see from the trailer, does a very good job of it.

Jessica Jones will be released on Netflix on November 20.
