Drew Barrymore confessed she was loving getting stuck into Alan Carr’s drinks globe on tonight’s Chatty Man.
The 40-year-old actress appeared on the Channel 4 chat show with Toni Collette, her co-star in new movie Missing You Already, and in keeping with tradition the show’s host offered them a drink from his glitzy drinks cabinet.
Drew said: “Can I just say I have never left a talk show tipsy! This is a first. I am not kidding, you are changing my view of what it is to be on a talk show.”
She added: “Jay Leno used to have what he would call the ‘Jay-cart’ and he would wheel it around for a drink beforehand to loosen people up and ironically he didn’t drink, I don’t believe.
“I always felt weird but what if I get out there and I’m like, ‘Is he going to judge me?’ I liked that he wanted to loosen people up but I never accepted the drink.
“Look at me now!”
Toni confessed: “I did! It was my first talk show. I was petrified.”
The Hollywood actresses are guests on the show along with Keith Lemon and Will Young, who elaborated further on his recent comments that he thinks Kanye West is “awful” and “the worst of people”.
Will told Alan: “Oh yeah, Kanye. My thing is if someone asks me a question, I’ll give an honest answer. There is no point going, ‘Oh my god I love everybody’.
“I think he is uber talented. I think what I said was, ‘he’s such an amazing talent I wish he wouldn’t just say things that seem a bit arrogant sometimes’, and I wish he could just get back to the music.”
Alan Carr’s Chatty Man is on Channel 4 tonight at 10pm.
