Pop star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has hit back at repeated claims about her size.
The X Factor judge, one-fifth of chart-topping ensemble Girls Aloud, said “there is no cause for concern” amid suggestions she is underweight.
The 32-year-old told the Daily Mirror: “Right now I feel like we are facing a lot of body issues in general – girls expected to have big booties , girls with thin legs – and it’s impossible.
“It needs to slow down, or stop. It’s highlighting body insecurities and it’s not right.”
Cheryl said energy-sapping days on set with the talent show left her with little time for exercise, but there was no reason for her fans to be concerned with her weight.
She told the Mirror: “It’s nice that people are concerned, but, honestly there’s no cause for concern. You can see I am completely and utterly well and happy.”
