The stars (at least some of the stars) hit the red carpet outside the Arts Theatre in London for the press night of American Idiot – the new Green Day-inspired Broadway musical, which has begun its run in the UK.
The show tells the story of three boyhood friends struggling to find meaning in the post-9/11 era. For its London run it will star former X Factor contestant Amelia Lily.
Let’s have a look at which celebs turned up to support the show on the press night.
Pop Idol runner-up and all-round ridiculously dressed man Gareth Gates was there.
As was eternally smiley X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
(Whatever happened to that Olly Murs guy he beat into second place?)
X Factor semi-finalist Diana Vickers also walked the crimson carpet.
Richard Fleeshman (once off of Corrie, now off of Richard Fleeshman) turned up to say hello.
And singer-songwriter Denise Pearson. She turned up.
Remember R&B group Five Star?
Matt Willis – once of Busted and now of the suspiciously similarly named McBusted – was there.
As was his wife and general presenting goddess Emma Willis.
And here they are together… awww.
Oh, and Brooke Kinsella turned up with this guy holding some bags.
American Idiot will run until September 27 at the Arts Theatre, London.
