Holly Willoughby will have the Surprise Surprise tables turned on her during a Father’s Day episode of the programme.
The TV host is more used to being the one springing emotional surprises on her guests, but show bosses decided to make her the centre of a stunt instead for Sunday night’s show.
In this clip, Holly can be seen announcing that there is one more person involved in the episode who really wants to see their dad – but she clearly has no idea that she is being prompted to talk about herself as she introduces the photo to explain all.
When big screens in the studio flash up a photo of Holly as a baby with her father, the surprised host breaks down in tears and welcomes her dad onto the stage with a hug.
Sunday’s episode will also feature a big-hearted mum who has not only spent years caring for her own family during her husband’s illness, but also took in another family and fundraises locally and abroad to help others. She’s set to get the surprise of her life when Lionel Richie stops by.
Surprise Surprise returns to ITV for a fourth series with Holly on June 21 at 8pm.
