A documentary about the life of tragic singer Amy Winehouse will be shown at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The movie, called Amy, is directed by Asif Kapadia and is among the titles that will be shown at the industry get-together in the south of France next month.
A trailer for the film has been released showing the singer as a youngster predicting she would never be able to “handle” fame.
Amy died aged 27 in July 2011 from alcohol poisoning.
Asif has already tasted critical and commercial success with his documentary Senna, about the Brazilian Formula 1 driver.
